Conclusion
So in conclusion I thought this was time well spent, I can say that I'm like 300 times better at all games now and I have a little bit more tolerance for the playstation, it may suck but it still has socom. What makes a good game is the amount of fun you have while playing it, it doesnt necessarily have to be the best graphics ever, it just has to appeal to people. If i had enough time to design a game and all the best programs, i could probably make a pretty good one.
The New Experience - Xbox 360 Dashboard change
The New experience is pretty sweet, i love how they now have party chat so you can talk to all of your friends and you can all be playing different games, but i hate how the dashboard button when your signed into Messenger lags so much, This gets a 9/10 still good but it should be better
Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
Guitar hero is one of the best games that is out there for any console, all kinds of gamers love this game. This game is so entertaining and i have mastered it, but my buddy Ryan is a nerd:) 10/10

Fable II Review!
Wow. I was seriously impressed by this game. At first i was not a fan of fable at all but all my friends were playing and said i should give it a try. What an addicting game once you pick up the controller you do not want to put it down, I love the fact you get to pick your own destiny. Its a more inventive type of gameplay. I give this game a 10/10
Super Smash Bros: Brawl
YES i love this game so much it's so fun to play with your friends, you can't get mad eachother over this game it just makes you laugh when you die. I don't know about everyone but it gets intense when me and my friends play. Its an all around awesome game and I love how nintendo finally put online game modes in there systems now. This game Deserves the 10/10! Epic game i will always love playing it
XBOX 360 REVIEW!
THIS CONSOLE WILL ALWAYS REIGN SUPREME OVER THE PS3. The Xbox is one of the best consoles i have ever owned. I was actually going to buy a Playstation 3 before I bought an Xbox but I'm glad my brother talked me out of it because its the best decision I have ever made!. The online Dashboard is put together so good. The games on this console are unbelievably amazing (Gears of War). The Graphics are unbelieveable, I love this system. I rate this console 10000000000/10
Playstation 3 Review
Let me start off by saying... What a piece of Garbage this console is so overrated, it seriously sucks. Its not fun at all, there is like basically no good games for the console. Its just soooooo boring, and how the playstation network works is just horrible now i understand why its free cuz its horrible. May the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii Reign Supreme... I rate this Console -10/10
Nintendo Wii Review
Let me just start off by saying this console is so Fun!!! this console when you have friends over is the best to have the games are always so fun, they never get boring and you can never get mad at them. Super Smash Bros: Brawl has to be the best game on that console you can play with friends and you can also play people on the internet. Nintendo Wii is a new inventive way of gaming. Wii will always reign superior over the playstation 3 i think. The Nintendo Wii gets 10/10
Assassins Creed
Again this game was fantastic the story line was unbelievable it was always intense, I loved doing the main assassinations it was so fun, every time you do a main assassination you get an upgrade, like for example you learn new attacks and you learn how to use throwing knives. You play as a character named Desmond Miles. There are templars that are after you, you get captured by this company named Abstergo Industries and your put into this machine called the Animus, While in this machine you go back in time and your one of your ancestors who is an assassin named
Al-Tair. You do these assassinations for your brotherhood to regain your rank as a master assassin and figure out where these ancient jewels are. The gameplay in this game is awesome the graphics are amazing. I rate this game 10/10 its a definate keeper
Socom: Confrontation
This game is actually okay, I usually hate playing the playstation but this is one game that will not collect dust, I have not played the story mode a lot, But the online is awesome its so fun if you have a bunch of friends over that love to play socom. This was one of the only reasons i bought a Playstation 3. The online is really consistent, it is really intense as well. I would give this game 8/10
GEARS OF WAR 2
All i can say for this game is... WOW, the campaign in this game is just spectacular, i really enjoyed playing it the story line is really awesome as well, It takes a lot of twists and turns. The multiplayer works so much better now, you can now play with all your friends, its a party system like halo 3, the online needs a little bit of work the lancer over powers any weapon, but if your a sniper god like me than its really no problem:).

I am a Power Gamer, I've been playing games since i was about 5 years old i first played Street Fighter, I play mainly Guitar hero II, III, Halo 3, and Gears of War. I think video games are a necessity to life, if there was no video-games we would all be bored. Really most of the games i play
are educational. Guitar hero teaches hand-eye coordination and thats about it Gears of War and Halo teach you communication skills and strategic skills.

Video game development is the combination fo storytelling, art, music, sound effects, animation and programming techniques, which creates a dynamic interactive form of electronic entertainment and education. Many skills are developed as the result of playing video games, and it is time that you proved this - to your parents and to educators. I believe it! Now you have to make other people believe it too.
What you will do:
1. Create a blog to log your video game play - give the teacher the url to your blog. Blogs can be created at the following location:

Important Note: Do not use MSN MySpace. It is not accessible at school due to NetSweeper.
2. After you set up your blog make sure you understand safe web practices. These can be reviewed at http://www.scholastic.com/toolkit/classport/play.htm Do the quiz, print your certificate, and hand it in to the teacher. I will expect that you follow the rules of safe blogging.
3. Create an introductory entry on your blog site. In this entry you should explain your current level of game play. Are you a power-gamer or are you a newbie? How long have you been playing games? What games do you play already? What do you think of video games? Do you think that anything educational can be learned from the games you play already? Explain your answer.
4. Now start to play! Choose at least one game to play a lot. Choose other games to play from time to time. I expect that you will play more than one game, and more than one type of game (different genres). You can play game console games, handheld games, cell phone games, computer games or internet games. All forms are acceptable. The games you play MUST be suitable in a school setting (so no Grand Theft Auto, etc). If you are unsure please check with the teacher.
5. Play at least one game from the GameOn site http://www.abc.net.au/gameon/ (During class, if all of your work is done, you can work on this part of the assignment. Isn’t that great!) Make sure you look at the "Behind the Screens" sections on this site (http://www.abc.net.au/gameon/kafkamesto/bts.htm).
6. Log your play. In your blog comment on the following:
A) Identify what you like and/or dislike about the game.
B) Discuss the construction of the game - the set, the characters, the storyline, the animation, the strategies, the sound and music, the level of difficulty, other things you think are important.
C) Find out what others have to say about the game you are playing - link to the main game site, find links to reviews, find cheat links, find game overviews, find anything else that helps us to understand everything there is to understand about the games you have chosen to play.
D) Let us know how you are doing in the game. How far have you gotten? What is your score? What new skills and levels have you achieved? What new tricks have you learned? What else can you tell us about how you are doing?
Note: You should have many entries for each game and every entry does not have to answer all of the above questions, but when you are done, all of the questions should be answered in detail. Make sure you clearly title each entry so we know what game you are writing about.
7. Include screen shots and other images in your blog. Make sure you post the url of any images that you get from the internet and links to any online games (see example above).
8. Conclusions. As your final blog entry, write some concluding thoughts - do this on the last day of the assignment, in class. Tell me, what did you learn from indepth game play? Was the time well spent or was it time wasted? What I really want you to think about is what makes a good game. Could you design a game that is as good, if not better? Be prepared to support your statements with evidence. This means that after this assignment you will take what you have learned and you will design your own game using the tools and skills you have available.
Deadline:
You can keep playing the games forever, but the blog entries must be finished by _______________.That gives you 10+ weeks of solid gaming homework.
Be prepared to share your blog highlights with the class on the due date.
